Theft of an AED takes a positive turn

AED-Partner was approached by Bureau Halt to participate in a confrontational measure for two young people who stole an AED. To help them understand that this is a life-saving device and to point out the consequences of their behavior, we came up with the following alternative:

Together with Halt, an appointment was planned in Rotterdam with the 2 young people.
After the young people read their letter of apology, we informed them about life-saving actions and they received CPR training.
After this educational experience, the young people received an official CPR certificate.
Since they really want to have an AED, this has also been arranged. These young people are now role models for their community.
